This individual makes numerous false claims, Identity Theft, Copyright and Service Mark Infringement in an effort to mislead the general public. He has filed documents with our copyrighted and Registered Service Mark with the U.S. Government claiming rights to Archbishops Registered property which Abp. Victor feels is fraud. He has also sent a defaming email claiming Abp. Victor filed false documents with government agencies which he cannot prove since that claim is false.

He has placed Abp. Victors registered copyrighted material on his website as a heading to claim he is THEOCACNA using the registered service mark from the Abp's registered copyrighted websites as well as our Church name.
He also claims to be the Society of Clerk's Secular of Saint Basil, a name in use by THEOCACNA since 1931 and formerly a registered service mark of this Church.

1. Claim: Turner was ordained by Ignatius (Wm. A.) Nichols who had been consecrated as a bishop of The Clerks Secular of Saint Basil® "after" Ignatius left the canonical American Orthodox Church.
This appears to be false for a number of reasons. In June 1933 he left the American Church, married and by 1934 was ordaining as an independent Archbishop. No act after June 1933 was done in the name of THEOCACNA and we believe all such claimed documents are forgeries. These fake documents show Abp. Victors Registered Service Mark which appears to have been taken from the Archbishops Registered copyrighted website. The use of Registered Copyrights and/or Registered Service Marks is a violation of Federal Law, but the Alexander appears to intentionally claim to be a church he is not and never will be.
1. He, Carl D. Bartholomew, incorporated a Church in Florida in Dec. 2007 using our name "The Holy Eastern Orthodox Catholic and Apostolic Church in North America" which we claim is identity theft.
2. He, Carl Bartholomew, placed Abp. Victor's Registered Service Mark (Logo with Church name in banner) on his website, on more than one page which we consider Copyright and Service Mark Infringement.
3. By email he, Carl Bartholomew, accused Abp. Victor of filing false documents with various government agencies and claimed Abp. Victor (may have) committed a felony in doing so. This email was sent to Abp. Victor and others who appear to work with Bartholomew and stated "Samuel, post this" thus opening this up to an act of defamation.
It seems very many independents will claim multiple lines of Apostolic Sucession and include the "American Orthodox Catholic Church" claiming lines of Succession direct or indirect from Archbishop Ofiesh. Since a bishop who leaves an Orthodox Church leaves all authority Ignatius never passed on any lines of succession from the American Church. In 1933 Ignatius was an Auxiliary bishop in the canonical Orthodox Church.
4.Fact: Not all members of the independent Society of Clerks Secular of Saint Basil® entered the Antiochian Church.
5.FACT: When Alexander Turner entered the Antiochian Church he was incardinated as a priest not as a bishop.
6. Claim: That father Forbes was the sole surviving Basilian in the Antiochian Church when he left the (Canonical) Antiochian Church and was later consecrated by independent bishops. These bishops were not part of the THEOCACNA Society of Clerks Secular of Saint Basil® and not with The Holy Eastern Orthodox Catholic and Apostolic Church in North America.sm
7. Father Forbes was never part of the orginal Society of Clerks Secular of Saint Basil of THEOCACNA/AOCC. He was never a clergyman of this Church but if he had been once any clergy leave for another canonical jurisdiction they renounce all claims to the former Church.
FACT: Father Forbes was a priest of the Antiochian Orthodox Christian Archdiocese, not THEOCACNA. He was the sole member of the SSB of the Antiochian Church, not THEOCACNA. He was ordained a bishop by bishops not associated with THEOCACNA.
Fact: The Church Forbes established was not canonically established in the eyes of any Orthodox.
Aftere he left the American Church w/o the required letters Nichols did not act with any authority from THEOCACNA. Thus the ordination of Turner was not on behalf of this Church, or the SSB of this Church, and without any authority from this Church.
Fact: Since "all" SSB members did not enter the Antiochian Church the Society of Clerks Secular of Saint Basil as such did not leave one jurisdiction to enter another. This tells us that only members entered as individuals and re-established the Antiochian SSB.
Fact: Over 20 years later this unincorporated group continued to use that name and their "new Metropolitan" decided to claim to be the head of The Holy Eastern Orthodox Catholic and Apostolic Church in North America. Not the Canonically established Church Chartered in 1927 but the head of a 2007 corporation Bartholomew setup in Florida
Bartholomew claims the Church headed by Abp. Ofiesh was "established by Abp. Ofiesh" which is clearly false. Abp. Ofiesh was appointed to head the Church that was canonically established by the Synod of Bishops in North America of the Russian Orthodox Church - Moscow Patriarchate. Abp. Aftimios did incorporate the Church the next year (1928) and Abp. Victor has been corporate president since 1997 and was corporate vice-president before that. The widow of Abp. Aftimios sat on the Church corporate board showing that we are the true synod and clergy of the Church.
We believe what Bartholomew publishes on his websites prove premeditation in his plans to commit Identity theft, fraud, Copyright and Service Mark infringement.
Carl D. Bartholomew appears, from online information, to be a former Roman Catholic Priest and not Orthodox based on his claim of lines of Apostolic Succession being in the Catholic manner of Episcopi Vagantes. In Orthodoxy Episcopi Vagantes are not recognized.
Carl Bartholomew claims on his website to have been established in 1927, Chartered in 1932, previously he claimed 1937, in New York and he claims the organization is active but is unknown as to its name since he fails to publis any proof of his claims. That charter appears to be under another name and no information has been located.
Their claim of being us is false because it violates the 1927 Constitution of THEOCACNA which states Abp. Ofiesh, or his legal successor, must be corporate president of all Church corporations of THEOCACNA. Since the Bartholomew is not part of THEOCACNA he cannot be the corporate president, except of his Fla. corporation.
Bartholomew threatened us with claims of legal action against us if we sent him any documents (to claim our identity). Mr Bartolomew has continued to claim our History claiming to be the Church of Abp Ofiesh (American Orthodox Church). He also has the previously mentioned bogus documents posted online with our service mark and name attempting to be a successor to Ignatius, Turner and this church which we deny. We believe him to be a liar and wanna-be who intends to deceive and mislead the public and infringe oArchbishop Victors legally owned intellectual property and our church history.
Abp. Ofiesh never used the name "American Orthodox Church". That is a name used by many independents. Our short name is "American Orthodox Catholic Church"sm which appears in our 1927 constitution to be, and is claimed by us, as a service mark of this Church under common law. A number of old catholics use these names (including our service marks) without our permission in an effort to pass themselves off as THEOCACNA. They act contrary to the Sacred and Divine Canons of the Orthodox Church, they ordain women and they do not come from the Historic Church.
This Abp. Alexander, (A/K/A Carl D. Bartholomew) who claimed to be the Primate of both the Holy Orthodox Church - AJ and The Holy Eastern Orthodox Catholic and Apostolic Church in America, then he dropped "North" in some of his postings, does not even appear to be Orthodox and appears to head his little Florida Corporation whose name he has stolen from our original Church - The Holy Eastern Orthodox Catholic and Apostolic Church in North America. The Holy Orthodox Church - American Jurisdiction had not been incorporated for years as they also incorporated as a diocese in Nashville.
If you look up this Metropolitan Archbishop Alexander online under his true name - Carl D. Bartholomew you can read about this individual. He has no valid sacramental authority from The Holy Eastern Orthodox Catholic and Apostolic Church in North America. Since he is not a true bishop or priest of this Church he cannot have any true sacramental authorty as it is derived only from the Church as Orthodox Canons direct.
